Today was the first time I’ve cut Seth Loeb’s hair — and I’m glad he came in. This classic pompadour looks great on him. We clippereed the hair aggressively short on the sides and back with an emphasis on clean lines. The hair on top, which is about seven inches long, is styled back with MENSDEPT. Microtech (a little heat was applied to the front to give some added height).
Once in awhile I just see a haircut that makes me say, “Damn. That’s perfect.” This is one of those haircuts — complete perfection — a flawless tight taper. A classic short haircut Of course, it doesn’t hurt the case that the model is flawless himself. This haircut is an aggressively tight taper with a clean side part — done with a bare blade clipper at the bottom and faded into considerable length on top. This is a super short haircut, but because of the way it is groomed is absolutely appropriate for a business setting. Alternatively, this style could be worn a little messy if the guy wanted a more casual look. For styling, I would recommend a good medium shine pomade or paste.
This haircut, obviously, works on someone with thick, straight hair, but you could also put the same haircut on a guy with some wave in his hair — how nice would this look with a well-groomed wavy top? Either way, this haircut reminds me of the classic groomed styles of the 1920’s. The look is fairly trendy today, but I think it is timeless. A clean, classic taper with a side part never goes out of style — it is the quintessential mens’s haircut.
